All attendees are required to attend Session 1 and can elect to attend Session 2 to apply new skills and knowledge.
Venue: Tamborine Mountain Creative Arts
Session 1
A. Understanding and learning how to use your machine for “Free-Motion- Sewing”
B. Developing your basic skills through practice on a provided “Sampler”
C. Exploring and practicing a number of ‘free-motion’ patterns on the Sampler
Session 2
A. Applying your new skills
In this session you will be able to extend yourself by choosing a task to complete.
Possibilities could be:
- quilting a block/s that you have pre-prepared;
- thread – painting or drawing; eg a flower, a bird, a scene
- developing a collage
- creating a thread bowl using ‘wash-away fabric’.
Cost of Workshop
TMCA Members
The usual TMCA attendance fee $4.00 half day/ $8.00 full day
Non members: $15.00 half day or $30.00 full day
Cost of kits and materials: $10/session
Attendees will be asked to bring incidental supplies.
