The Christmas break at TMCA was interrupted by a derecho event that hit Tamborine Mountain on Christmas evening. This resulted in some damage to the pottery buildings and some green/tree damage on the property.
As a result, the TMCA’s opening date was delayed (opened on 15th January).
The pottery area suffered the most and one of the sheds needed to be removed. This has now occurred. (It was fortunate that it wasn’t the kiln room.)

Some of the created works below are for the The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation to sell, the Orthopedic Pediatric Ward (for babies with hip dysplacea), some of the quilts gifted to the ‘Together in Mind’ new mum program and other items created simply for the joy of creating.
